Review: When I first saw this movie on VHS in the late 80s, I was shocked. A 70s movie with a good message? I can not believe it. Message: children - honest and reliable and no obnoxious parents - do not spoil your kids or they will quickly quickly turned out to be brats.Wow, no wonder liberal critics like Leonard Maltin trash this movie. This message is often not provided in the film, which is usually shredded praised the good and the bad. That is why this story is refreshing, and the same goes for remake was released in 2005.Peter Ostrum played Charlie lovely and it is a good. He is one of the most beautiful child ever put on screen and is a good actor. Type surprise that this is the only film he made! Jack Albertson does a good job of Charlie and his grandfather loved so bratty kids, especially young English woman who is so bad you have to laugh her. The first part of the story is a good satire on how people are sometimes trivial things so important and how the media is made way with stupid issues. (Wow, look at it now!) The second part of the story is fascinating because the star of the movie: Willy Wonka - a maker candy no-nonsense people who can not tolerate brats - is fascinating to watch. (The critics said he was too cocky.) Gene Wilder as Willy is very good. Yes, he had a bit of a chain in his medium, but their opinions are fun to hear and despite the lack of money box , ng of verbal tactics. Most people like Wilders Wonka version, by the way, in the strange, but a talented Johnny Depps. This entertaining film that should hold your mind. This is an interesting comparison in the 2005 film. Honestly, I like both.
